Mahendra Explained

Mahendra is a Sanskrit compound word deriving from mahā (great) and indra (the title of the king of the devas) from Hinduism. Mahendra title use khatik or Khatri people. Historically Khatri and Khatik are same. They belong to same clan.[1] It has been used in compound royal styles.
